FAQ

Who can attend?

If you’re interested, you’re eligible. Worlds in Action [02] LA is open to developers, tech artists, UGC creators, XR/game developers, AI builders, designers, graphics programmers, and anyone excited to build with Spatial Intelligence, World Models, GenAI, XR, and creative AI tools.

It’s free! We just need you to cover your travel and accommodation. If you need support on finding accommodation, feel free to reach out other local hackers in the dedicated Discord server.

Bring a setup-ready laptop (tools/software installed) and charger.

Minimum: 16 GB RAM (integrated GPU is fine for API-based workflows)
Recommended: 32 GB RAM + NVIDIA GPU with 12 GB+ VRAM

If you plan to use XR devices or additional hardware, feel free to bring them – just keep your setup compact and easy to manage.

SensAI Hack values the importance of a safe and all-inclusive space. Anyone attending must adhere to our code of conduct.

Each challenge category awards a first prize. Please refer to each location’s website for details on the specific prizes. More information is available in our Terms and on each location’s website.

That’s up to you! Feel free to apply together with your team, or alone. However, all attendees are required to register separately via the Application link. If you are joining on your own, you will have the chance to meet great new team members on site at the hack or perform teams on our Discord.

Teams should have 2–4 members, with a maximum of 4 members per team. Teams may submit multiple projects. Solo or 1-member teams are allowed only with prior approval and a valid reason.

Projects should be based on new ideas developed for the hackathon, and the main work should take place during the event. Submissions should clearly demonstrate what was built or prototyped during Worlds in Action [02] LA.

You’re welcome to brainstorm ideas and discuss them with others on our Discord before the hackathon.

We may have a limited number of XR headsets available on-site, but we recommend bringing your own if your project needs one. Any compatible headset or hardware for your build is welcome.

Application are open until one day before the hackathon starts. However, please be aware that we accept applications on a rolling basis, and we do have limited hacker spots per event. That means, apply as soon as possible to reserve your seat!
