Taking place at MG Studio in Los Angeles on July 18–19, Worlds in Action Hack [02] LA is a 2-day hackathon bringing together tech artists, creators, XR/game developers, AI builders, and graphics programmers for hands-on prototyping, workflow-driven workshops, expert mentorship, demos, and awards.

FAQ
Who can attend?
If you’re interested, you’re eligible. Worlds in Action [02] LA is open to developers, tech artists, UGC creators, XR/game developers, AI builders, designers, graphics programmers, and anyone excited to build with Spatial Intelligence, World Models, GenAI, XR, and creative AI tools.
How much does Worlds in Action [02] LA cost?
It’s free! We just need you to cover your travel and accommodation. If you need support on finding accommodation, feel free to reach out other local hackers in the dedicated Discord server.
What should I bring?
Bring a setup-ready laptop (tools/software installed) and charger.
Minimum: 16 GB RAM (integrated GPU is fine for API-based workflows)
Recommended: 32 GB RAM + NVIDIA GPU with 12 GB+ VRAM
If you plan to use XR devices or additional hardware, feel free to bring them – just keep your setup compact and easy to manage.
What is the code of conduct?
SensAI Hack values the importance of a safe and all-inclusive space. Anyone attending must adhere to our code of conduct.
How does the local prize pool work?
Each challenge category awards a first prize. Please refer to each location’s website for details on the specific prizes. More information is available in our Terms and on each location’s website.
Do I apply with a team?
That’s up to you! Feel free to apply together with your team, or alone. However, all attendees are required to register separately via the Application link. If you are joining on your own, you will have the chance to meet great new team members on site at the hack or perform teams on our Discord.
How big are the teams?
Teams should have 2–4 members, with a maximum of 4 members per team. Teams may submit multiple projects. Solo or 1-member teams are allowed only with prior approval and a valid reason.
Do we allowed to build on past projects?
Projects should be based on new ideas developed for the hackathon, and the main work should take place during the event. Submissions should clearly demonstrate what was built or prototyped during Worlds in Action [02] LA.
You’re welcome to brainstorm ideas and discuss them with others on our Discord before the hackathon.
Will there be hardware or XR equipment available?
We may have a limited number of XR headsets available on-site, but we recommend bringing your own if your project needs one. Any compatible headset or hardware for your build is welcome.
When do application close?
Application are open until one day before the hackathon starts. However, please be aware that we accept applications on a rolling basis, and we do have limited hacker spots per event. That means, apply as soon as possible to reserve your seat!
